ISA Staff Support

Exceptional student support is the cornerstone to every ISA program, and our abroad staff are instrumental in delivering this to every student. ISA employs on-site staff in each of our program countries. A majority of our on-site staff are native to the countries where they work and all are proficient in English. All on-site staff are knowledgeable about the local culture and customs as well as the available resources and facilities. A staff to student ratio of 1:20 is maintained with few exceptions on all ISA programs, and staff members are trained and available 24-7 to respond to student emergencies. Program participants in every site are provided with the dedicated ISA in-country 24-7 emergency line.

Stateside ISA support is available to students, faculty and parents 24-7 as well. The U.S.-based ISA offices may be contacted during regular business hours (Monday-Thursday, 8:30 AM . 5:00 PM CST / Friday, 8:30 AM . 4:30 PM). During the weekend and evening hours, ISA's telephone answering machine provides the number for the U.S.-based ISA emergency contact that is on duty 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Whether addressing an individual program participant's emergency or responding to an event that may impact the entire program location, ISA on-site and domestic staff work seamlessly together under the direction of ISA Director of Health, Safety and Security to address student needs and keep necessary parties informed.
