Course outline:
This course aims to develop an advanced understanding of sampled data systems: z-transforms, hold circuits, pulse transfer functions, minimum prototype response controllers, bilinear transformation, frequency response methods. Also included are: state variables, state space models and design methods. Robustness, observability controllability, stability and performance.24 lectures, tutorials as required, practicals as required, design project
DP requirements: Completion of course assignments.
Assessment: Year Mark (10%), November Examination (90%).Course Entry Requirements: EEE3081F (DP).
