Overview
This course follows the chronology of major administrative and stylistic architectural shifts at the Cape until the early 20th Century and introduces theoretical readings pertinent to particular buildings, precincts and epochs. Students visit, analyse and then present their findings of assigned local case studies to the class. These case studies form the basis of research for the final essay.
