    This course aims to provide knowledge and skills in the fundamental concepts of geographic information systems and remote sensing. Topics include: GIS concepts, cartographic concepts and GIS map production, map projections and application in GIS, GIS data structures and analysis, spatial databases, GIS data input with special emphasis on remote sensing, and GIS analysis and application.
