    Main Outcomes

    • On completion of this module, students should be able to:
    • Identify and explain the central ideas of major value theories.
    • Identify and explain the core arguments used to support those theories.
    • Begin to respond critically to those theories and apply them in responding to a range of contemporary moral issues.

    • Introductory moral and political philosophy; 
    • Challenging contemporary issues, including but not limited to questions of equality and inequality, individual rights and  entitlements, and 
    • Questions about our obligations to the state.
