     an understanding of the process of intervention and the nature of helping relationships
     knowledge of theories and techniques of counseling
     knowledge of ethical decision making in counseling

     the field of counseling and psychological intervention
     the theoretical underpinnings of counseling

     Introduction to the field of counseling psychology
     Ethical issues in counseling practice
     Psychoanalytic therapy
     Person centered therapy

     Family systems therapy
