Course Content:
This module provides fundamental knowledge on statistical techniques and their
applications to real world data. On successful completion of the module students will be
able to demonstrate quantitative analytic skills for assessment of economic theories with
matching data.Topics covered include:
? Review of Probability and Statistics
? Linear Regression with a Single Regressor
? Linear Regression with Multiple Regressors
? Hypothesis Tests and Confidence Intervals
? Nonlinear Regression Functions
? Introduction to Time Series Regression
? Limited Dependent Models
? Instrumental Variable Regression
? Regression with Panel DataTeaching: Lectures, seminars and computing sessions
