For many nations both sport and tourism are significant economic sectors and play important roles in society. This module examines the characteristics of sports tourism, identifying how the motivations of sports tourists shape participation and behaviours. It also examines supply characteristics, looking at local,national and global sporting events, the intermediaries and agents who influence the design of sporting products, and the development of sports tourism destinations.Assessment: Essay (70%) ; Coursework (30%).
