Overview
The module is proposed to be structured into two parts. Part 1 involves reviewing theories and approaches related to
what is the nature of leadership and management, and what are the factors that influence the effectiveness of the
leadership and management process. Part 2 involves helping students to develop the core skills and understanding
needed to deal with management responsibilities and develop as leaders. This includes how to co-ordinate the
activities of people and guiding their efforts towards the goals and objectives of the organisation.
Assessment: Group Presentation (25%) ; Essay - 3000 words (75%).
