Overview
Pre-requisites: 4PSYC001W Social Psychology, 4PSYC002W Cognitive Psychology The primary aims of this module are to facilitate students’ understanding of some of the key counselling and psychotherapeutic theories and frameworks and to enable students to evaluate the various approaches in terms of the available research evidence along with current debates about the nature of psychotherapy and psychotherapy related research. This module does not prepare students to become Counselling Psychologists but will give students a sound basis for understanding and identifying the further study and training required to become a Counselling Psychologist. Assessment: Group Presentation (30%) ; Exam (70%).
