Overview
Assessment: to be confirmed
This module offers students with no previous linguistic training the opportunity to acquire knowledge of language structure and linguistic terminology, and to apply this knowledge to the analysis of language data. It provides students with the skills they need for analysis of phonological, morphological, and syntactic structures, and for the linguistics analysis of register and style in spoken and written language. Such knowledge is useful in a variety of ways, for example for students intending to become teachers, or speech therapists, as well as providing for those who simply wish to increase their knowledge about language.
