This module covers the fossil record of our closest relatives, the fossil hominins. The student is introduced to the key sites and specimens that have informed us about our evolutionary history since our split with the other primates 5-8 million years ago. The student learns how to make inferences about the biology of these extinct organisms through demonstrations in lectures and lab practicals with casts of the fossils.
