Assessment: data analysis [50%], essay (approx. 2500 words) [50%] [overall pass required; all elements must be attempted]
This module examines the range of different types of language use in contemporary British media - press, television and radio. It covers topics such as advertising discourse and phone-in talk, as well as news reporting and political interviews.
