Assessment: practical project [60%], research presentation [20%], technical exercise [20%] [overall pass required]
This HE1 level 12 week module is concerned with the principles of digital photographic production as well as theoretical aspects of its production, distribution and consumption. Students will be provided with a thorough grounding in the use of basic equipment and the appropriate technical processes including: SLR digital cameras, lenses, filters, exposure calculation, Photoshop skills and printing techniques. A project will be set which will enable you to develop and demonstrate these skills. Technical instruction will be informed by creative and theoretical approaches.
