The module focuses on shifts towards mass democracy in the period of the early twentieth century, particularly focusing on the status of women and the working classes, the rights of nations to self-determination, and the impact of mass culture on art. It analyses the imaginative responses - some authoritarian, some radically individualist, some democratic - to these shifts towards political democracy.Assessment: 100.0% CourseworkLevel: 6
