Course formerly called "Professional Writing & Communications"COURSE DESCRIPTION :This course is devoted to the development of professional writing skills, including emails, briefs, executive summaries, presentations, and other standard business documents in the 21st century. Students will learn how to synthesize information into relevant key points and how to communicate them effectively in a business setting with appropriate and respectful language, terminology, and structure.COURSE OBJECTIVES :The objective of this class is to develop students' ability to communicate professionally in today's business world.EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES :Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:- Analysis writings and oral presentations and identify the key points- Communicate key points through brief, professional written English- Structure emails in professional manner that is respectful and effective communication- Write effective Executive Summary documents- Structure their thoughts into a professional brief or summary document
