COURSE DESCRIPTION:This course is designed for the Bachelor in Fashion and Luxury Retail Management program and isspecifically focused on the power of product merchandising in effective consumers decisions. The coursefocuses on the Luxury sector and describes the ability of the retailer to increase purchasing behavior withlayout, color, design, and other aspects that appeal to the 5 senses of the consumer.COURSE OBJECTIVES:This course will describe the rules of merchandising in all retail settings, and focus on the specifics of theluxury sector. Linking merchandising, with consumer behavior, product design, sensory marketing, andother aspects of the program, this course brings students into the practical of running a high-end retailoutlet.EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES:At the end of this course, students will be able to:- Understand the power of product merchandising and atmosphere setting, especially in the luxurysector.- Compliment their understanding of consumer behavior and product design with retail layouts- Be prepared to design and manage a store with the specific goal of attracting luxury customersegments- Have practical knowledge that can be applied to a real-life retail setting.
