    DESCRIPTION:
    Developing a character from a theatrical play. Scene work.

    RATIONALE: 
    Students are exposed to character analysis and interpretation. Scene work to develop complex characterization.

    LEARNING OUTCOMES:
    As a result of taking this course, the student should be able to:
    1. Design a score after analysis for given circumstances, initiating events, scene events, conflicts & obstacles, beats as foundation to develop a character.
    2. Formulate a character’s actions-objectives-superobjectives in the creation of a role.
    3. Demonstrate tempo-rhythm through physical and verbal action.
    4. Apply the Stanislavski technique to develop and perform a dramatic character.

    METHODS OF TEACHING AND LEARNING: 
    In congruence with the teaching and learning strategy of the college, the following tools are used:
    - Physical and vocal exercises, oral presentations, discussions rehearsals and performances.
    - Office hours: students are encouraged to make full use of instructor’s office hours for questions, to see their exams/papers, and/or go over lecture material.
    - Use of Blackboard
