  • Overview

    This course is designed for students with no previous experience of studying law or business law and will compliment knowledge acquired by students in the study of other commercially focused areas. Students will attain skills for the acquisition and the evaluation of the relevant legal principles and their application to commercially orientated factual situations encountered. These skills will equip students with the capacity to resolve legal problems or identify efficient ways of resolving legal problems in a coherent and reasoned manner. Topics covered include employment law, business ethics, the court system of Ireland, intellectual property and the basics of contract and criminal law.

    Any aspect of this module may be changed in any given academic year, subject to the discretion of the module lecturer.
