Overview
The course is lecture based with prescribed additional reading and recommendations for self-directed study. Topics may vary from year to year but typically include: meristems and their importance for plant development, how meristem architecture is established and maintained; leaf development and pattern; changes in meristem identity; how flower pattern is established, how flower shape is established. An evolutionary approach to aspects of plant development is emphasized as much as possible.
