Academic Information

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

  • You will take 6 preselected courses (13 U.S. credits) for the Filmmaker's track, or 4 preselected courses (12 credits) for the Acting for Film track. Courses are commonly held Monday - Friday, but may also include Saturday classes. Film projects and production workshops take place on weekends. You are not only responsible for your own work, but you are also expected to contribute to the work of your peers as crew members. 

COURSE SELECTION

  • You will choose one of two tracks: Filmmaking or Acting for Film.

COURSE CREDIT

  • Credits earned vary according to the policies of your home institution.
  • According to ISA policy and possible visa requirements, you must maintain full-time enrollment status, as determined by your home and host institutions, for the duration of the program.
  • Credit transfer is ultimately determined by your home university.

SYLLABI

  • Requests for sample syllabi can be made to the Italy Program Manager.

TRANSCRIPTS

  • Upon program completion, you will receive a transcript issued directly by the New York Film Academy. New York Film Academy is accredited nationally by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) and regionally by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Please Note: Filmmaking students only will have an additional $1,160 equipment fee.
