    This course explores the science behind nutrition, exploring nutrition across the lifespan, food and society and the role of nutrition in health and disease. Intended for non-majors in science, the course addresses basics physiological principles that underline a balanced diet and the correct up-take of nutrients. Particular emphasis is paid to international policies aimed at promoting healthy well-being, and on media and social factors influencing food choices and nutritional behaviors.
