Overview
Artificial Intelligence is a big field. This half-module defines the field and covers its main unifying concepts. It then concentrates on two topics: (i) problem-solving by search and (ii) machine learning. The module also briefly discusses advanced AI applications such as natural language processing, computer games, autonomous cars, computer vision and robotics.
Students are expected to be familiar with a programming language, as there are programming labs and coursework.
