Overview
This module will focus on hydrological science at the catchment scale, introducing students to theenvironmental processes within the aquatic environment, and how these are linked, and influenced by thesurrounding land. We will examine the theory and practice involved in the collection and interpretation ofenvironmental data that will consider the dynamics of both quantity and quality of water in the running(lotic) and standing (lentic) water habitats that make up surface drainage networksThe module will be taught by four members of staff covering three specific areas: Channel form, flow andsediment dynamics; Hydrochemistry; Limnology
