Overview
This module provides an introduction to a range of HR practices, legal policies and the relationship between them.The module examines the principles and deployment of HR techniques that shape the ways in which organisationsmanage the employment relationship and how HR techniques and policies are governed by employment law. Themodule also introduces theoretical approaches that embed HR techniques in wider society and discusses the ethical and social dimensions of HR techniques for employees and the organisation. The aim of this module is to provide an overview of HR techniques and to enhance a critical understanding of the management of Human Resources and its impact on the organisation of work and employees.
