Overview
The course aims to introduce students to the functioning of ecosystems and their component communities ata range of scales from local to global. The learning outcomes are: an understanding of biogeochemicalprinciples and processes governing energy and nutrient flux at local, regional and global scales; Anunderstanding of the nature and functioning of terrestrial, aquatic and marine ecological communities;Training in the techniques of soil and ecological analysis.
