Overview
This is an intensive course which builds on the foundations laid by courses FREU9B1 and FREU9B2. This module is the last module prior to joining the Advanced stream (FREU9A4) from which point there is no further differentiation between former-Beginners and non-former Beginners.
In order to aid with the transition into FREU9A4 and the rest of the Advanced stream, the structure of FREU9B3 reflects the structure of our Advanced stream modules, ie there are 3 distinct components each taught through separate weekly classes: 2 weekly Written Language classes (1 hour each), 1 weekly Spoken Language class (1 hour) and 1 hour-long matière (culture) class. This will be the first introduction to French & Francophone culture through the study of short texts and films, broadly mapping onto work undertaken by students on the Advanced stream in FREU9A1.
