Course description
The main objective of this course is to offer a tour of the history of European cultures, of the great transformations that have taken place from prehistory to our days, with special emphasis on the Hispanic area. Therefore, we will study the new reality offered by the Mediterranean world after the Islamic expansion through North Africa, the conquest of Spain and the domination of a part of the Mediterranean. Likewise, the changes carried out in the European framework will be analyzed, which were defining and characterizing the territory that we know today as the European Union. The program has been divided into two blocks: the first will target the periods of Prehistory until the end of the Middle Ages, in the fifteenth century. The second block will include the sixteenth to the twentieth centuries.
Methodology
Each session will consist of a presentation of the theme from a power point that the students will study and prepare, then put it in common and finish defining or clarifying it with the help of the teacher. The active participation of the students is expected.
