    Course Description:
    This course is aimed at Spanish-speaking students of American origin who wish to improve
    their communicative resources and command of Spanish, and thus maintain the language inherited from their families. His
    The main objective is for the student to become aware of the linguistic diversity of Spanish and to acquire
    the necessary skills to be able to function in both formal and informal registers.
    In this sense, the course aims, from a communicative perspective, the integrated development and
    significant development of fundamental language skills, and more specifically written skills
    (understanding, expression and interaction). Likewise, emphasis is placed on teaching the contents
    grammatical and in the lexical variety of the language, always seeking to respond to the needs
    communicative and academic skills of the student.
    Course methodology:
    The orientation of the program is communicative, both in its purposes and in the methodology it follows. It
    means that the objectives, at their different levels of concreteness, are set in terms of usability
    of the tongue; that the contents are derived from the objectives thus established; and that the work methodology
    is based on carrying out use activities, accompanied by the necessary reflection processes on
    the language that facilitate the internalization and mastery of its various structures and units.
    Course objectives:
    ▪ Recognize and value the various regional and dialect variants of Spanish.
    ▪ Carry out a linguistic reflection on the language so that the student achieves a good
    mastery of grammar, lexicon and spelling.
    ▪ Develop the ability to produce clear and detailed texts in formal and informal registers, and
    in various contexts (personal, academic, professional, etc.).
    ▪ Expand communicative resources in Spanish through reading, analysis and criticism of texts
    with the objective that the student becomes able to express himself with conviction and clarity,
    adapting your record to the situation and the person or people involved.
    ▪ Develop a notion of style through the production and correction of texts in Spanish.

    ⦿ GRAMMATICAL CONTENTS
    ⚫ Grammar correction:
    o Systematization and consolidation of the morphology of the different verbal tenses and modes,
    and the uses and contrasts between them.
    o Conjunctions and connectors of coordination and subordination associated with different registers,
    formal and informal.
    o Special uses in the pronominal system and in determination.
    o Systematization and consolidation of the various subordinate syntactic constructions.
    ⦿ SPELLING
    ⚫ Spell correction:
    o Spelling of letters.
    o Rules of accentuation.
    o Punctuation marks.
    o Use of upper and lower case letters.
    ⦿ LEXICAL CONTENTS
    Sufficient vocabulary (words and expressions) to deal with the following topics, with the necessary
    precision, level of abstraction and contextual appropriateness:
