Overview
OBJETIVOS (GENERAL OBJECTIVES)
General Goal: The primary objective is to shadow the Nursing staff at the healthcare
center and learn about the Spanish healthcare system.
General description: Students will spend their time on a single project or on a variety of
tasks agreed upon by the Hospital and/or Health Clinic along with the School of Nursing
International Coordinator and the hospital supervisor. Students will be required to keep a
log of their activities and to prepare a summary report of their experience at the end of the
semester.
A 3 US-credit internship requires 120h of internship work (17 working days, 7h/day)
METODOLOGÍA (METHODOLOGY)
Active participation and attendance are essential and will play an active role in the final
grade. The student will be followed up by your mentor or a member of the nursing
team, depending on the day
MATERIALES (MATERIALS)
The student will need to keep their hospital ID (provided by the UCV) visible at all times.
Students will need to wear white UCV scrubs (provided by the UCV) and white
trainers/clogs/crocs (their own).
The student will only need to submit a final reflection/experience report (typically 1000-1100
words) to UCV at the end of the internship.
