    DESCRIPTION
    Optional one-credit course that complements the development of linguistic competences
    facilitated at the two/three-hundred level courses, focusing in the oral skills in particular.
    Curso opcional de un crédito destinado a desarrollar las habilidades lingüísticas que se van
    adquiriendo en los otros cursos de nivel doscientos o trescientos, haciendo especial hincapié
    en las destrezas orales.


    STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES
    After the successful completion of Spanish Conversation and Oral Skills I students will be able to:
    -exchange short oral messages that include narrative as well as descriptive elements to account
    for their experiences abroad
    -take part in opinion exchanges over familiar or predictable topics with local people
    -explain with easiness aspects regarding their personal and work environment, such as details
    of their life, job, family, city, etc.
    -explain their favorite things, places and hobbies, and to ask about their interlocutor’s ones
    -give reasoned arguments in favour or against a controversial issue that distinguishes the U.S.
    and Spain, as long as they have time to plan the interventions
    -analyze, contrast and assess their perceptions, values, attitudes and behaviors of the different
    cultures in Spain in relation to the student´s own culture.
    Al completar con éxito Conversación I, los alumnos serán capaces de
    -realizar intercambios orales breves que incluirán tanto elementos narrativos como descriptivos
    para dar cuenta de sus experiencias en el extranjero
    -participar en intercambios de opinión sobre temas conocidos o previsibles con gente local
    -explicar con comodidad aspectos del entorno personal y laboral, como detalles de su vida, su trabajo, su familia, su ciudad, etc.
    -explicar con detalle sus gustos y aficiones, así como preguntar por los de su interlocutor
    -argumentar a favor y en contra de un tema polémico que distinga los Estados Unidos de España, siempre que el/la alumno/a tenga tiempo de planificar sus intervenciones
    -analizar, contrastar y ponderar las percepciones, los valores, las actitudes y los
    comportamientos de las diferentes culturas de España en relación con la cultura propia
