  • Overview

    2. Description
This course exposes the main dynamics of international trade, its contextual
evolution, theoretical principles, and approaches applied according to the political
preferences of each nation. It also shows the international trade system based on
the participation of international organizations and the role of state and non-state
    actors in this system.
    3. General objective
The goal of studying this field is to give students a thorough understanding of the
system that governs international trade, foreign trade policy at the national and
customs union levels, and a holistic, structured understanding of the mechanisms
and tools used to implement foreign trade policy, along with their theoretical
    underpinnings and real-world applications.
    4. Resultado de Aprendizaje Esperado:
    5. Justification
International commerce between nations is crucial for improving living conditions,
creating jobs, and allowing customers to choose from a wider range of items. Since
the first civilizations started trading, there has been international commerce, but in
recent years it has grown in significance as a higher portion of GDP has been
committed to exports and imports. Graduates with an awareness of the
management and operational needs necessary to trade efficiently in foreign
markets, as well as the ability to locate business opportunities to deliver a good or
service, are in greater demand in the current economic climate.
