Course description
This course describes quantitative models and heuristic strategies for decision making at the strategic, tactical and operational planning in production systems, i.e. production planning, scheduling and control.Course learning outcomes- To use information technologies to support decision-making processes on production planning and control.- To improve performance measures related to manufacturing or service (project) planning and control.- To make use of appropriate mathematical models and heuristics applied to production planning and control.- To analyze results provided by decision support software tools in order to make decisions and re-evaluate decisions.- To provide rigorous bibliographical research on new applied methods to production settings.
- To develop written essays in the subject and to sustain a proper opinion on the subject.
