Overview
This course requires an advanced Spanish level, determined by a placement test taken pre-departure.
This course is aimed at Spanish speakers or Spanish second language speakers who enjoy literature and reflection, especially on Latin American machismo. The most outstanding traits of the female characters in the selected readings will be identified, the symbols present in the selected readings will be analyzed, and the similarities and differences between Latin American women of the 20th century will be discovered through the comparison and contrast of the female characters in the selected readings.
