    Course description:
    This course will touch base on the major world religions, such as Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and more. We will focus on the dialogue and discussion of the following aspects: what are their main beliefs were do their main differences and similarities reside, and identifying the myths, prejudices, and misunderstandings that each one of them implies.
    Course objectives:
    1. Identify the main values of the major world religions.
    2. Develop the need and ability to have an open dialogue that can promote tolerance and respect among different beliefs.
    3. Cultivate a critical thinking and comprehension of the religious background that all of us carry.
    4. Adopt an overall clean perspective of the main world religions and mitigate the errors of judgment and untruthful aspects of each one of them.

    Class readings, articles 20%
    Religion’s catalogue 20%
    Research report 20%
    Research presentation 15%
    Artistic assignment 10%
    Religion’s catalogue: the student will have to gather through research the information of each of the religions studied through the course and make a catalogue for reference.
    Research: the students will present research work on one of the aspects of any religion on the study plan, and give a presentation to the rest of the class. This is an individual assignment and the student can choose the topic that they find the most interesting.
    Artistic assignment: The students will bring to the class an artistic illustration (music, poetry, sculpture, painting, architectural, etc.) representing one of the religions of choice.
