I. Welcome
II. University Course Description
This course offers a look at the development of Peruvian culture through its literature, starting with the role and presence of women in literature from the 19th century to the present day, in the same way we will see and analyze how women and minority groups have been treated and portrayed in Peruvian prose narrative and poetry. We will explore the definition and characteristics of the term “story”, "identity" or "country", analyze the gender role play in our cultural and political lives, and explore how the interpretation of a literary text goes beyond a merely subjective opinion by more deeply understanding narrative technique, point of view, and character development.
III. Course Prerequisites
