Overview
Curso que ofrece una introducción al uso de estadísticas en el análisis de datos en arqueología, con un énfasis especial en el análisis exploratorio de datos y el uso de programas de computación. Se presenta una introducción al análisis de datos, análisis univariado y multivariado, estudio de probabilidades y distribuciones teóricas. Se tocan, asimismo, aspectos elementales del muestreo en arqueología. El curso busca entrenar al estudiante en la adecuada selección de algoritmos para la solución de problemas arqueológicos específicos. Se hace, complementariamente, una revisión crítica de investigaciones arqueológicas que hayan manejado modelos y métodos matemáticos.
