  • Overview

    Due to the increasing demand for specialists with knowledge of techniques and skills in the storage, analysis, interpretation and generation of knowledge from increasingly complex, diverse and larger data sets, this course seeks to train students in data analysis, so that they can apply better techniques in any area or organization that requires exploiting data and producing relevant information. The course provides an introduction to the KDD (Knowledge Discovery in Databases) methodology. It covers topics such as: data acquisition and preparation, transformation or extraction of features, data mining, visualization of results.
