To this extent the course contributes to the following two competencies: (i) evaluates investment and financing decisions with the purpose of contributing to maximizing the value of the organization, and (ii) uses mathematical reasoning to interpret information and propose solutions to academic and everyday life problems. Topics include: the valuation of fixed and variable income instruments, as well as the principles of modern portfolio theory, the application of Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) and the cost of capital, using an active-collaborative pedagogical methodology with the support of computer tools.
