Students may choose between the following Program Terms:

Political and Social Sciences, African Studies & Health - University of the Western Cape

Located in the local Bellville neighborhood, the University of the Western Cape is still a beacon of freedom and societal change to South Africans, due to its role in the anti-Apartheid movement. ISA students can take courses in several popular UWC academic disciplines: African history, Development Studies, Education, Conflict Studies and Political Science. Students can also volunteer in ISA Service-Learning programs offered in Cape Town.

The University also houses the UWC-Robben Island Mayibuye Archives, which includes a collection of artifacts, historical documents, photographs, artworks, and audio-visual materials of the apartheid era in South Africa.

Semester + Semester Programs Available: Students may participate in the Spring + Fall OR the Fall + Spring sessions of this program by selecting their two semesters of interest when submitting the initial ISA online application. Business, STEM, Social Sciences & Liberal Arts - University of Cape Town

The Business, STEM, Social Sciences & Liberal Arts program is offered through the University of Cape Town. This program offers students a large variation of courses in several major fields of study, including Humanities, Social Sciences, Engineering, Law, Business, and Natural Sciences. Popular subject areas include Political Science, International Relations, and History. One great new option for UCT students is the Service-Learning program, which allows students to volunteer in various organizations throughout the city of Cape Town.
