Computer Science, Engineering, Business & Spanish Language -Universidad de Deusto - Bilbao

This program offers interdisciplinary coursework in business and STEM fields while also allowing students to explore Spanish and Basque culture and language. Business courses are available in English with international students while STEM courses in English are available in the fields of Computer Science, Industrial Design Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering alongside local Spanish students.

Those studying Spanish can also enroll in language and culture classes ranging from Beginning to Advanced language levels. Students with an Advanced level have the option to take an internship or Service-Learning course. Internships are available in the fields of business, engineering, and education and allow students to learn more about local institutions while gaining professional experience. Please note that internships are subject to an additional fee of $250. In the Service-Learning course, students will explore themes in social justice through community service. This is a great option for those looking to give back to the host community while engaging more deeply with local culture.

All courses in this program are taught at the Universidad de Deusto's beautiful and centrally-located Bilbao campus, on either side of the Nervion River and adjacent to the famous Guggenheim museum. Classes such as Spanish through Gastronomy, Sports Management: European Football, and Basque Culture & Language take advantage of Bilbao's unique geography and culture to generate tangible interaction with course material. Most courses on this program are held with other international students, though ISA students also have the option to enroll in 1-2 additional classes with local students after arriving on-site.
