Intensive Spanish Language

This program accommodates students at all levels of Spanish proficiency. All levels will take language courses focusing on the skills of writing, reading, speaking, and listening. Students may enroll in consecutive Intensive Month programs. Students will be in class with international students, the majority of whom are North American. Program prices do not include airport pick-up and drop-off or excursions.

Service-Learning Information
During the last eight weeks of the program, students will work 15-35 hours per week at a host organization, increasing language proficiency and gaining valuable international experience. Placements are arranged prior to arrival in the host country and language requirements may vary. Visit the ISA Service-Learning website for more information on placement opportunities.

Service-Learning placements are coordinated by ISA and have no affiliation with the university. Students will develop a Portfolio throughout the program, documenting their projects, hours, and program activities.

Students can earn 1-6 credits based on the number of contact hours accrued at the host organization

Eligibility

Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

For beginning, high beginning, low intermediate, intermediate, high intermediate, advanced, high advanced, and superior level Spanish speakers. All students must take a Spanish language placement exam upon arrival in Granada. The exam will indicate each student's language proficiency level, and will determine the courses in which the student is eligible to enroll.
