Intensive Spanish Language - Universidad de Granada

This program offers students the opportunity to hone their Spanish language abilities by exclusively taking Spanish courses. The program is available to students from all language backgrounds, from the beginning through superior levels of Spanish.

The program consists of three Spanish language modules, each covering the skills of writing, reading, speaking and listening. All students are required to take a Spanish language placement exam upon arrival in Granada. The exam will indicate each student's language proficiency level, and will determine the level of the first module in which the student is eligible to enroll. At the end of each module, students may advance to the next level, and will most likely complete 3 language levels (for example: low intermediate, intermediate, high intermediate) during the program.

Please note that level advancement is not automatic. Students will advance to the next level if their language acquisition skills demonstrate readiness and the Centro de Lenguas Modernas deems the advancement appropriate. Classmates are international students, the majority of whom are North American. All classes are taught by host university faculty at the Centro de Lenguas Modernas at the University of Granada.

Gap Year students are also eligible for this program. For more information, click here.

Please note that a student visa is required for programs over 90 days. Please reference the Student Visa & Embassy page for more information. Applying for a visa could require out of state travel.
