The Summer 1 program provides courses in high beginning, intermediate and advanced levels of Spanish, while the Summer 2 program provides courses in intermediate and advanced levels of Spanish.

Students can take courses focusing on language acquisition, or they can choose from courses in culture, literature, international relations, international marketing and economics. Courses are taught in Spanish or English.

Students will be taking courses with other ISA students. Courses are taught by host university faculty at the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo.

Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

High-Beginning level students in the Back-to-Back program who have not completed at least two semesters of college-level Spanish (or the equivalent) are required to take at least one high-beginning Spanish language course during the Summer 1 session due to course availibilty during the second term.

Mission Work

ISA's Veritas Christian Study Abroad division adds ministry service opportunities and spiritual support to existing ISA programs. Students interested in participating in missions while studying abroad must apply to a Veritas program (Visit to view program options). Veritas programs promote spiritual growth through the on-site support of a Mission Mentor as well as engaging academic and mission experiences.
