Course Availability & Syllabi

  • Please see the Stirling's Summer Module Catalog linked here and below for additional information.
  • Requests for sample syllabi can be made to the Scotland Program Manager.

Course Selection

  • You will take 2 modules per session.
  • Classes have limited space and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Students are encouraged to submit their applications and course selection as early as possible.

Course Credit

  • Per the University of Stirling, each module is worth 10 Stirling (SCQF) credits which are considered equivalent to 3 U.S. semester credits/4.5 quarter units.
  • Credit transfer is ultimately determined by the student's home university.

Back-to-Back Options

  • If you choose to do back-to-back sessions, you can either take 2 modules in the 1st session and 1 module in the 2nd session or vice versa. You can also choose to register for 2 modules in each session.

Course Level Recommendations

  • Please note that Stirling considers their summer course to be lower-level. These Stirling and ISA recommendations are intended to facilitate the determination of course equivalencies by advisors and credential evaluators at participants' U.S. home institutions.

Transcript Information

  • The transcript from the University of Stirling will reflect ECTS and Scotcat credits. Please be in touch with your home university regarding credit transfer for this program.
